A key feature of Deep Learning is its ability to work with unstructured data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">While traditional machine learning is used with labeled and organized data (akin to Excel spreadsheets), Deep Learning can also automatically extract relevant features from images, audio, video, or text. This is where the true potential of Deep Learning models lies: being able to process things that are not \"Excel spreadsheets.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types of Deep Learning Models<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">There are <a href=\"https:\/\/deep-xai.com\/en\/principales-algoritmos-deep-learning\/\" target=\"_self\">different types of neural networks<\/a>, each suited for specific tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Specialized in image recognition and computer vision. They detect patterns and features through convolutional layers, processing structured information in two or more dimensions, for example, a 2D color image, and classifying them with high accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and LSTM<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Ideal for sequential data, such as text, speech, or, when combined with CNNs, video. They are capable of \"remembering\" past information to influence the current prediction. That is why these networks are said to have \"memory.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LSTMs are a type of RNN that improve the learning of long-term dependencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Autoencoders and Variational Autoencoders (VAE)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">They compress data into simpler representations in the first phase (encoding) and then reconstruct them in the second phase (decoding).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">VAEs can generate new data samples from the decoding phase, serving as the foundation for generative AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Composed of a generator and a discriminator that compete against each other to create realistic synthetic data, such as images or audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The generator network learns to fool the discriminator, while the discriminator network learns to detect the generator's tricks. Through this competition, they manage to generate highly realistic data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diffusion Models<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">They train by progressively adding and removing noise from the data, generating highly accurate results, especially in images.
